Dog are Man's Best Friend

When you think about a perfect family there is always a dog with them. Do you know that dogs are man’s best friend? Researchers found that 63 percent of all households in the United States have a pet. Getting a dog is a really big decision because they require many responsibilities. There are three big things to think about before buying a dog. You must be sure that you have enough money, you have to choose the right dog for yourself and you should choose the right time to get a dog.
First of all, you must be sure that you have enough money because getting a dog is very expensive. You have to pay for all of the equipment such as bowl, cage, laces and collar. You have to buy some food and cookies. Also, you have to register your dog with the Humane Society. Be careful, if you don’t register your dog each year, you could get a fine. I suggest you neuter your dog if you don’t want to get many puppies. In addition, there are many shots and medicines that your dog should get such as flea shot. If your dog gets sick, veterinary is very expensive. Depending on your kind of dogs; you have to groom your dog every three months. You have to look at your budget if you can afford a dog.
The second step before buying your dog is to choose the right dog for yourself such as a big or small dog. If you are a family who like to spend a lot of time outside and doing some activities, you should buy a big dog because it needs to move a lot. You have to be sure that you never give up even if it’s very cold outside. Moreover, if you didn’t move enough, your dog will have some behaviour trouble. For instance, your dog can eat some furniture that it wasn’t supposed to eat only because your dog didn’t spend enough energy. Getting a big dog is very advantageous because it motivates you to do some exercises even if you feel lazy. If you don’t like to take a long walk and you don’t want to spend a lot of energy outside, I suggest you to buy a little dog such as a poodle. However, pay attention; even if it’s a small dog, you have to exercise with it too, but not as much as with a big dog.
After that, you have to choose the right time before getting a dog. I suggest that you wait until your life is stable. For example, you shouldn’t get a dog if you want to travel because your dog cannot be alone more than one day. If you are lucky, you will have someone in your entourage who could dog sit your dog, but if you’re not, you will have to pay very much to the kennel each day. It’s for this reason that if you plan to take a big trip, you should wait until after that to buy a dog. If you are in a stress period, you shouldn’t get a puppy because it’s probable that your night will be short. It’s really hard and it takes long to train your dog to be clean. In addition, you cannot have a baby at the same time as you have a puppy because both need a lot of attention. If you have a baby first, you have to raise your baby to be gentle with the dog because sometime dogs can be dangerous. If you have a puppy first, you have to train you dog to be soft with the baby. Moreover, you must be sure that you are able to take your own responsibilities before adding other big commitments
In conclusion, there are many things to think about before getting a dog. For example, you have to be sure that you have enough budget. You have to acquire the right dog for you, and also you have to choose the right moment in your life. Now, are you ready to get a dog for many years? Think again because that can change your life. However, if you follow my advice, you will enjoy having a dog.
